THE ILLUSION OF FAITH
Weham-e-Aqeedat
This project explores the space where faith, trust and deception begin to overlap. Through contemporary fashion, it reflects on how spiritual belief can be turned into a tool for manipulation as a means of business by fake peers in Pakistan. The collection uses ritualistic symbols, exaggerated silhouettes and textured surfaces to question how faith can sometimes transform into performance, power and exchange.

Research Methodology
The topic was approached through field visits, observations, interviews and survey responses to understand how authority is constructed within this space. Visual references such as taweez (talismans), threads and clothing were extracted during this process. These findings shaped the design process, translating the tension between genuine belief and manipulation into silhouettes, textures and accessories.
